<font color=purple>Introduction to Education

Picture1.jpg

In my Introduction to Education course, my dream of becoming a teacher has started turning into reality.  I have had the opportunity to learn about varying aspects of the profession, and I have had the privilege to interact with children in the community.  I have learned about specific issues that will affect me as a future educator, such as standardized testing, accountability, cheating, and the gender gap.  I listened to guest speakers who came and discussed information about classroom management, school rankings, and junior highs.  I learned about some modifications I will need to make for my students because of their learning styles, giftedness, multiple intelligences, and exceptional needs.  I came to better understand specific areas thoroughly by reading The Water is Wide, watching educational videos, and studying current events.  I am excited to have begun my journey to becoming a teacher, and I look forward to all the exciting moments I will have along the way.  Please click the links above to view some of the coursework I completed in this class.
