Standard I: Technology Operations and ConceptsTeachers demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and concepts.
Performance Indicator A: demonstrate introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology (as described in the ISTE National Education Technology Standards for Students).

Context:

I used a commercial web page called TaskStream to create a portfolio as required by Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University. I made folders for each class in my block semester and uploaded a variety of projects such as an i=Movie, newsletter, webpages (Story Pictures and Teacher Classroom), diversity portfolio, math lesson plans and an ERCI reading assessment.

Impact:

During the semester that I student teach, I will be showing this portfolio to my advisor, my student teaching supervisor, and my classroom cooperation teacher. The state of North Carolina requires that I meet these standards.

Alignment:

I have met competency IA because I have shown competency in basic and advanced technology skills. This portfolio also shows my professional development and growth as a pre-service teacher.
