Physics

Prerequisite: Chemistry


This course is designed for the college bound student.  The student will learn to intelligently interpret the physical environment and appreciate the role of physics in contemporary society. Emphasis will be placed on the mathematical and conceptual description of the laws of physics.  Computational and algebraic skills are mandatory for successful performance in C.P. Physics.  Many of the topics are introduced via laboratory experiments. Topics include mechanics, heat, waves, electricity, magnetism and nuclear physics. This course is not appropriate for pre-engineering students.
