Dr. Meyers will teach you how to control severe bleeding. You will receive certification upon completion of this course.
Lindsey Andersen, DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice), is an acute care nurse practitioner at Utah Valley Hospital where she works as a provider on the trauma service overseeing the workup, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment for critically-ill and injured patients. She has been with the trauma team since 2013. Prior to receiving her doctorate at the University of Utah Lindsey spent ten years working in the intensive care unit. She was awarded the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles fellowship while at the University of Utah and was nominated and inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor society for academic excellence in nursing studies. She began her career as a DNP with the heart rhythm specialists at Intermountain Medical Center before pursuing her true passion as a trauma provider. She has been a member of the Wilderness Medical Society and is currently certified in ACLS, ATLS, and as a Stop the Bleed instructor. This is her 15th year volunteering with the Utah County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team.
