During Block II, I interned at Mountain View Elementary School, in Jefferson North Carolina. We started going part-time on January 25th and then started going full-time on March 28th. I was supervised by Mrs. Ashley Fields in a first grade classroom. My responsibilities included supervising students, teaching lessons, conducting reading assessments, observing individual students for documented case studies. During this internship, I taught one social studies lesson (on St. Patrick's Day), three math lessons (on counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's), and a science unit plan consisting of five individual lessons (on the needs of plants).
