SuccessMaker Rationale
Context
During my student teaching experience at Mountain View Elementary School, I used the school's mobile lab to introduce a computer program called SuccessMaker to my first grade students. SuccessMaker is a sequential reading and mathematics computer program for students. SuccessMaker individualizes instruction to the specific needs of each student by automatically presenting instruction at the level at which a student is ready to learn—a level neither too easy nor too difficult—creating a successful learning experience.
Impact
The activities used within the SuccessMaker program provided my students with fun methods for learning. Through the use of SuccessMaker, each of my students received guiding learning by employing a variety of instructional strategies and providing multiple opportunities to master each concept.
