ONLINE CLASS: DIRECTIONS

Go to Blackboard (blackboard.usfca.edu) and log in (use your USF Connect login/password)

Choose Teaching, Learning and Technology -- TEC 600-03

Go to Communication tab on the left-hand side

Choose "Wimba Classroom" (with the orange button)

You will see "Miranda's Ed600 Classroom". Click the blue arrow to enter.

Run the setup wizard. I recommend doing this well before class starts, in case you do not have the permissions or software you need on the computer you are using!

We will be using both voice and text chat. Please try to borrow a headset with a microphone if you don't have one, but it is not required.

Type your comments in the box next to "Main Room" to share comments with everyone, or select certain participants.

If you can't log in for some reason, I will give you an alternate assignment. However, you must call, text, or email me between 7:30 and 8 p.m.  to let me know that you tried but were unable to participate -- otherwise you will be considered absent.

IN ADDITION TO THE CHAT, you must post to the discussion forum at least twice -- these must be substantive comments of at least 5 sentences (so "I agree" does not count).  Follow the directions above but choose "Discussion Forum" instead of "Wimba Classroom". These must be posted by Oct. 20.

Agenda 9/25

1. DO NOW: Sign up for Webspiration -- go to https://mywebspiration.com

2. Prepare for next week's ONLINE class. Class will be at 7:30.  Please log in from lab, library, or home at that time. Directions (I will email these in advance, and also put them at the top of the page on ed600.info). Remember that you also have to post at least two comments to the discussion forums by 10/20.
