October 6, 2010, 2010-- Class 7 (meets online) (PLEASE NOTE: no class 10/13)

Discovery Question:  What new technology is most promising as far as potential use in education? How could they be used to improve student learning and engagement? What are some of the potential problems or challenges?    

Agenda:

Meet online using Blackboard to discuss new technologies.

All students are expected to attend and post at least 2 comments to the discussion in response to the instructor's questions or those posed by other students for full participation credit.

ASSIGNMENT

1. Finish Webquests and be ready to present on October 20. DUE: Email URL/web address to Miranda by October 20.

1. Continue to collect and create materials needed to create I-Movie.  This includes pictures, music and voiceovers.  This is very important as we will begin working on the I-Movies on October 20.

1. Start compiling a spreadsheet in Excel (or Open Office or Google Docs spreadsheets) listing the parts of your i-Movie. For example, use columns labeled “photos”, “voiceovers”, etc. and list filenames and other important information.
