Student Teaching Standards Portfolio

Student Teaching Standards Portfolio

The Danielson Framework for Teaching is the observational protocol the State of Idaho names in the administrative code/rules related to teacher evaluation, IDAPA 08.02.02.120. ISU offers teacher candidates the opportunity to work to meet competency in the FFT through preparation coursework and fieldwork.

In addition, preservice teacher candidates are required to meet the Idaho Core Teaching Standards (ICTS), which are part of the Idaho Standards for the Initial Certification of Professional School Personnel.

In this Student Teaching Standards Portfolio, teacher candidates will:

  • Provide artifacts/evidence* of meeting the performance indicators of the ICTS as they correlate to the Danielson FFT;
  • Provide a self-evaluation with justification** of the level of competency at which the ICTS performance indicators have been met.

*If candidates choose to submit a link to a Google document, it must be in PDF form.
**Justifications should be one to three sentences that specify which artifacts support the competency noted for that performance indicator.
