The data in the spreadsheet above shows the scores that students recieved on work they turned in. The name of the assignment is at the top with the scores listed below.
My cooperating teacher uses a four point scale to grade all work so I went ahead and used that system as well. You will see that both the pre and post-assessment have a four point score and that is based on a participation grade for taking the pre-assessment as well as a score for their post-assessment. The score given for the post assessment is a number that was translated from the actual percentage on the post-assessment.
The attachments below are examples of some of the work we did in class. There are a couple of examples labeled as a "list" or a "check" these were given at the end of the the lesson the first two days in order to check for understanding and see how much they were remembering. There is also a key for the "Personal Atlas" that each of the students worked on over a couple of class periods. This was a project they had multiple resources available to them in class, including books, atlases, the internet, class notes and myself.
