As a Musician

Ever since graduating from Miami Beach Senior High School, I started looking at music very differently. Instead of being intimidated by complicated and difficult to learn instruments, I've seen music as to being nothing but notes. The instruments are nothing but specific passageways in order to get those notes. It is why, I have been trying to learn and play fluently an instrument every year since graduating. Also, as a songwritter, I feel it is my duty to comprehend to my best abilities any instrument I wish to compose for. In the attachment section you will find a brief video having me play in some of the instruments I've learned in these past few years.

As a music scholar, I've written about "Performance Practice" topics such as how the right hand has evolved in guitar technique from the early baroque years to present day modern classical guitar technique. (1600's-2010)

You will find a copy of this research paper in the attachment section as well.

Under videos I have a variety of inclusions.

The first is a video of me conducting/ eleading a choir in a song being rehearsed for the 2nd time in a conducting class.  I feel my biggest weakness when conducting (according to professor) is that I get to overwhelmed by the music and I start moving my body in subdivision mode. But aside from "getting to much into the music" I feel really comfortable leading a choir in any size and talent. It all reslults in getting the message of the music across, and it be done in many ways.

In "Cello Suite Jam", I took J.S. Bach's Prelude from his Cello Suite no.1 and arranged it to benefit more a "popular music feel".

I played all the instuments reall time (so nothing's fake), and I took the PRECIOUS EFFORT in syncing the audio with the different slides of video. As a result, for your viewing pleasure, I give you a mini music video of my rendition of "Cello Suite Jam".

On the last attachment, I included a sample of one of the pieces that I've been working on for Classical Guitar during Spring 2010. What I love the most about this piece, is the amount of emotion and expression it gives. It really describes who I am, both as a musician and a composer.
