During my spring semester in 2007 I attended Forest Hill Elementary School in Burke County for eight instructional days. I spent my time in a second grade classroom working with students individually and in small groups.  I worked specifically with students who needed extra help with reading and math and also team-taught a math lesson on measurement with another Appalachian student.  While it was only a short stay for me at Forest Hill, I really enjoyed observing and spending time in a diverse classroom.
