Additive-additive color is color in direct light.
subtractive-subtractive color is color in relation to pigment, or to any surface that absorbs wavelenghts of color.
refractoin-the change of direction of a ray of light, sound, heat, or the like, in passing obliquely from one medium into another in which its wave velocity is different.
diffraction-in which a wave of light,after passing the edge of an opaque or solid object, breaks or spreads out instead of continuing in a straight line.
primary-in that all other colors are derived from them. The three primaries in light are red, blue, green.
secondary-secondary colors magneta from red and blue, cyan (a turquoise blue) from blue and green, and yellow form red and green.
tertiary-noting or containing a carbon atom united to three other carbon atoms.
achromatic-free from color
gray scale- a scale of achromatic colors having several, usually ten, equal gradations ranging from white to black, used in televisioin and photography.
