Using Clicker Technologies

Arrow (Lg.)

Clicker technology is a controversial form of technology currently being utilized in classrooms. While these forms of technology help to provide quick and easy feedback, it is unknown as to whether or not they actually do anything to help the students. Despite the lack of evidence on whether or not this form of assessment helps students, it does provide a classroom environment where students need to pay attention to the on going lesson in order to be able to answer any questions being asked by the teacher. This also allows teachers to informally assess students in a way that will allow the taecher to determine whether or not to move on, or to back up the lesson to better help the studetns.

Below, you will find both a PDF and a working document of a more in depth discussion on clicker technologies in the classroom.
