Artifact 25 - How CTE Advisory Council or others were involved in Program implementation of the
Computer Information Systems Program:
The Lee County Career & Technical Center was created by joint efforts of many different industry areas. The Career Center is extremely successful and has been since the 1970’s for the simple fact that all who are involved in the process of the Career Center work and provide remarkable support to all programs.
Many changes continue to occur within the Computer Information Systems Program at the Career Center. All changes are discussed within our Business Information Technology Advisory Council. Our council consists of all Business Education Teachers, retired Business Educators, College Business Education Professors, and several members in the Business Technology Industry. The council meets twice a year to discuss changes in the program, changes in the workforce and what the workforce is looking for in employees.
The Council discusses curriculum revisions and changes in Future Business Leaders of America - the co-curricular organization - in the Computer Information Systems Program. We work with our Council on ways to promote our programs within the entire Career & Technical Center.
