Student Teaching Lessons

Context:

I used the overhead, cds, computers, a powerpoint, and video to facilitate student learning during student teaching at Millis Road Elementary.  I played a math review game with the students using the overhead.  Students listened to a cd following along with the story in the book.  I used a powerpoint to teach temperature.  Students typed their spelling words and watched a video having to do with problem solving skills.

Impact:

I can use this technology to teach all different kinds of learners that need more than reading out of a book or lecture. I will expose them to this technology to better my teaching.

Alignment:

I have met NETS-T  competency III A by getting students to type their spelling words on the computer.

I have met NETS-T competency III B by using overhead, video, powerpoint, and a cd to teach students in a certain area of study.  They also played a game with me based on subtraction and addition using the overhead.

I have met NETS-T competency III C by using a powerpoint to get the kids thinking about temperature based on taking a trip around the world.  They had to be creative in what they needed to take to that country.

I have met NETS-T competency III B by using the resources such as a cd, overhead, and computer in my social studies, spelling, and reading lessons.
