Finding real-life examples of effective leaders can be important to help analyze our own leadership styles and practices and serve as mentors. I was lucky enough to have many mentors and role models throughout my time at Misericordia. I chose to write about Mary Ann because I have known her the longest and got to work with her before this internship program. This assignment allowed us to sit down and have a conversation about what it takes to be a leader and how she became a leader herself. This allowed me to respect Mary Ann more as a supervisor and what she is doing for the Fitness department at Misericordia.
