The inclusion of print and web based design for my masters program heightened my awareness of how content is not the only factor when publishing information. TEC 555 emphasizes the concepts of repetition, alignment, proximity, and contrast in designing web pages, flyers, brochures, and newsletters that increases my abilities to communicate professionally with students, teachers, parents, and administration in a variety of media. The relevance of this course carries over to many aspects of delivering content for my future.

    This essay examines the basic principles of webpage design. By utilizing the four fundamental concepts of design, creators of web content display information and multimedia in prescribed fashion that allows viewers to quickly assess and discover content. The basic website I designed includes alignment, proximity, repetition, and contrast that displays my understanding of the content studied.
