During one of my management courses at Ohio University, I was required to ask ten friends and family members what they thought would be my ideal career path. Of the people I polled, six replied that I was best suited to become a teacher, while the other four believed that my skills would best be utilized as a business manager.
Upon graduation, I was presented with what I thought was an excellent opportunity to pursue the management track by taking a position as a business consultant with Attevo, an information technology business consulting company.
Later, due to what I now believe to be destined circumstances, I became a full-time English teacher in Spain.
These completely diverse experiences have allowed me to realize that my ideal career is in a position that merges my skills in both management and education, and thus describes my initial desire to become a school administrator.
