Leadership Journey

Leadership Journey

Welcome to my e-portfolio!  My name is Bruce Karhoff.  I am a career educator, and completing my school building leader program at Lehman College.  I am glad that you are visiting this webpage, and I am happy to share with you some of the work I’ve done in the past two years.

The work here shows the evolution of my thinking about school leadership during my journey through the educational leadership program.  The work here are selections that shows my best thinking on leading school vision, instructional supervision, the leadership of an organization, the ethical aspects of leading schools, collaborating with school and community partners, and the place of public schools in a democratic society.  I’ve also shared here reflections on the various aspects of school leadership and my leadership philosophy.

I have been teaching for over twenty years, all within public institutions.  I have taught at the university level, at a community public school in Burkina Faso, in West Africa, and for the last thirteen years, at public high schools in the Bronx.  I am committed to collaborating with like-minded educators to provide quality educational opportunities to students in communities that have traditionally been underserved.

Enjoy!
