Photography

I took an interest in photography my senior year of high school, so I enrolled in an elective black-and-white darkroom photography course. Over the years, I have moved to digital photography as my medium of choice, but I still think there is nothing quite like the experience of processing film and developing photos in a darkroom. The following is an assortment of photographs that represent my artistic style and abilities. I am especially interested in juxtaposing natural and human-made elements.

Graphic Design

I am currently expanding my horizons by pursuing a certificate in Graphic Design - which has been an extremely challenging but equally as rewarding experience. Skills that I am learning include:

• Understanding and applying design principles: balance, contrast, tension, spatial relationships, color theory, etc.
• Learning to effectively utilize graphic design software: Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign
