The teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support students’ learning and well-being.
I was extremely happy with my placement at Harriton High School. I think it was an extremely good match that I was placed with Ms. Donze, for she and I got along very well and I learned a lot from her teaching style and worked it into my own teaching style as well. Her letter is a testament to the mutually beneficial working relationship we had during my student teaching.
In addition to Ms. Donze's letter, my e-mail correspondence with a parent demonstrates my professionalism with my students and their grades and their families. I handled the situation thoroughly and respectfully, and I think the parent appreciated my addressing of the situation at hand.
Finally, the e-mail from one of my students shows the kind of relationship that I had with the students in my classes. I was very moved and appreciative to receive such an e-mail, and I responded to him the following day to thank him for his kind words and to let him know that I too enjoyed working with him and that he brought a wonderful dynamic into the classroom each day.
Here is the letter of recommendation that my cooperating teacher, Ms. Nina Donze, wrote on my behalf at the end of my student teaching semester.
Also please find an e-mail correspondence between myself, my cooperating teacher, and the parents of a student in one of my classes.
I've also included an e-mail that I got from a student a few days after my last day of student teaching.
