Portfolio

Content:

My portfolio was created in CI3750, Integrating Media and Technology into the Classroom, under the advisement of Jeff Goodman in the spring of 2007 as a Block I requirement.

Impact:

The portfolio that I have created provides a variety of assignments that were required in my different Block I classes. All of these assignments will in some way benefit me as a prospective teacher. Some of the assignments I can even implement in my own future classroom. The culture report, various case studies, lesson plans, and other assignments have given me a glimpse of what I will be doing in the future. I know that I will constantly be referring to the portfolio throughout Block II, student teaching, and the rest of my teaching career. In addition to these assignments, I also had to create a webpage. This is an excellent resource for my class to use on a daily basis, as well as incorporate technology into the class.

Alignment:

Standard I. A- Demonstrates introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology.

I met this standard in many ways. First of all, my entire portfolio required an understanding of many concepts related to technology. This portfolio has greatly increased my knowledge, skills, and understanding of various technology concepts. My class webpage was the first webpage I have ever made. I had also never made and edited a video until I had to make one for my portfolio. All of the technology aspects of this portfolio have really helped me gain confidence when using technology. I am now able to use many programs that I never knew how to use. My knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology will be used in my classroom and allow me to do activities that I would not have been able to do before creating this portfolio.
