The Scranton Electric Building is considered to be Scranton's first skyscraper. Local businessmen built it to impress railroad executives on their visits from New York. It has 8 floors and is used mostly for office space.
Another famous building in Scranton is the Brooks Building. The building was once home of the late Jason Miller, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright who was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Father Damien Karras in the 1973 film "The Exorcist." The building now houses both commercial offices and residential apartments.

Most popular for it's mention in NBC's The Office as the backdrop for the infamous competition for Michael Scott's job, the lake you see here is the actual lake that exists on the outskirts of Scranton. There is a beautiful walkway that people can use to go onto and enjoy the serenity of the lake.
The Times Shamrock Communications is a central media hub of Scranton. The company, owned by the Lynett and Haggerty families of Scranton, lists among its assets seven daily newspapers, over 20 weekly newspapers, and 12 radio stations.

The mall is built on approximately half the former Lackawanna Railroad yard that was abandoned by Conrail in the late 1970s. The mall is two levels with a food court overlooking Steamtown National Historic Site on the second floor. The mall is located on Lackawanna Avenue, in the heart of downtown Scranton.
