“I’m not afraid to die, because I’ve already been to Scranton.” --George Burns

Welcome to our virtual tour of Scranton, PA!
In our lessons, we've been talking about the importance of the railroad and how it affected industry all across the United States during the first and second World Wars. So, it's useful to zoom in on a big railtown and see firsthand what such a town is like and the underlying culture is TODAY, after all the hustle and bustle of the railroads have subsided. For those who watch The Office (on NBC), you will see a side of the city that they don't show you (like how Lake Scranton is actually a lake and not a beach). You may fall so in love with this city that you want to take the office tour and see it for yourself!
