Through my work with the Conservation Corps I was able to facilitate and encourage experiential learning everyday with the students. The Conservation Corps was created for at risk youth who do not fit the standard mold of the public high school education setting. Instead the students had the opportunity to get outside, learn about sustainable practices and form a connection with the planet. These is a photo from our neighborhood community garden project. We built everything from scratch!
