I was fortunate enough to receive lots of feedback on numerous elements of my teaching throughout the Ithaca College Immersion Semester Program. This feedback was provided after my LNT Dispose of Waste Properly Lesson from my course director Bruce Morrow, instructor Ben and peer Jeff Adams. I think the feedback speaks to my ability to adapt to multiple different learning environments and have fun doing it!
This letter represents my inner strength and tenacity in pursuit of growth. The summer of 2013 was by far the most difficult summer of my 21 years on earth. During my experience as the Wilderness Director at Camp Augusta I learned a valuable lesson: the power of collaboration and support. For the first time in my life I was asking for help and concentrating on my needs. While working in a flat hierarchy community I also recognized my need for structure. This letter is a representation of my appreciation of challenge and the growth that follows.
