Welcome to Mrs. Major's webpage.  I have been teaching at Salpointe for 23 years.  I graduated from Flowing Wells High School and then from the University of Arizona.  My original degree was in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis on K-12 Physical Education.  When I first started at Salpointe, I was hired as a girls' PE teacher.  Eventually I incorporated a weight training program that has now grown to a full academic class.  I also taught Aerobic Dance for 19 of my 23 years at the school.  Eventually I moved to the Science department and am currently teaching Biology.  

One of my passions is competitive swimming.  I swam for the U of A when I was in college and now I compete with the Ford Aquatics Masters located at the University of Arizona.  In June of last year, three of my teammates and I set a World Record for the 200+ age group in the 800 meter Freestyle Relay.
