Increase grant proposal submissions across the college and foster inter-disciplinary collaborations amongst the schools.
 
Professional and helpful interaction with the College community, sponsors, auditors and other external parties on all post-award matters relating to Sponsored Programs
 
Increase awareness of grants administration by conduction training sessions.
 
Build a comprehensive umbrella of support for faculty as they engage in research, and create a robust support structure to support the submission and award of sponsored projects.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: 1. Individual emails will be sent to faculty and departments of funding opportunities.

                        2. Conduct meetings with high volume departments and active faculty.

                        3. Conduct meetings with lower volume departments to discuss announcements and possible funding opportunities.
Expected Results: A creation of grant funding announcement mechanism. An increase in grant submission volume of departments with prior lower submissions.
Details/Description: Design and implement a procedure to disseminate funding announcements to faculty, departments and administration to increase awareness.

Expected Results: Increase the amount of students supported by grants and submit 1 major institute on wide proposal that supports under graduate and graduate students.
Details/Description: Increase submissions in proposals that provide financial support for underrepresented groups.

Proposed actions to achieve goal: 1. Continue to meet with the Dean's and Administration to discuss/reevaluate the college's IDC Policy.

                        2. Keep open dialogue about current policies with the Controller's office.

                        3. Attend professional conferences to keep abreast of federal regulations.
Expected Results: Developed a training with Controller's office for sponsored projects.

                        Create new policies and procedures and update current ones.
Details/Description: Collaborate with the Controllers office to work on a training that encompasses all regulations and aspects of awarded grant activities.

Details/Description: Prompt and accurate set-up and closeout of awards and related information in the financial system

Expected Results: Ongoing trainings for education of sponsored projects that in compliance with the local, state and federal guidelines.
Details/Description: Hold various training sessions for faculty and students about grant policies, procedures and the federal guidelines. Also including education on finding funding and applying for grants.
