Being able to be in classroom settings has truly helped me to affirm my choice of becoming a teacher. After visiting San Marcos Elementary School I realized just how much I as a future teacher can mean to my students. During the visit I was able to help the children prepare for the AIMS tests, one-on-one. While this was Saturday school the students really worked hard and were very excited to be there. We worked on using adjectives to create an interesting paragraph about a visit to the ocean. After study time I was able to go outside and play Frisbee golf with the children. I know that this activity was as enjoyable for them as it was for me. This visit was short, but I felt as though I really was able to make a difference.
