<h2>Welcome to My Portfolio</h2>

<div class='snap_preview'><p>This portfolio presents representative samples of academic work that I produced over the past four years as a student in the Baccalaureate Honors Program (BHP) at Rider University. I have selected one or more artifacts from each of my seven BHP courses, as well as samples of work I produced in my courses as an English major.</p>
<p>In order for this portfolio to have some Web 2.0 functionality, I have chosen to enter my artifacts as posts in a blog, and have reserved the comment field as a place for invited viewers to post their comments upon my work.</p>
<p>In addition to displaying pieces in which I take some pride, I am also attempting to articulate the interdisciplinary learning that I feel I have accomplished through my BHP courses. In order to do that, each artifact is accompanied by two different kinds of metacommentary: rationales and reflections.</p>
<p>Rationales are attempts to justify the inclusion of each artifact. Given hundreds of items from which to choose, why did I pick that particular artifact? What learning or knowledge does it supposeldy represent?</p>
<p>Reflections are more open-ended. Some assignments I enjoyed greatly. Others I struggled with greatly. In the end, I have come to value most some that I liked least when doing them. In other cases, I hated doing the work, and I still hated the outcome when it was done. As you may have guessed, I included none of that type in this portfolio.</p>
