Artifact 81 - describe how feedback from stakeholders is used for program improvement

Our advisory board is prescribed by the AYES Program and is called the "Business & Education Council" (see the attached AYES document).  Our local council includes 30 members from dealerships, manufacturers and vendors.  The council meets four to five times a year, and averages 15-20 attendees each meeting:

Some responsibilities of our local Coucil include:
--revieweing curriculum and suggesting updates and improvements with an eye towards new equipment and technologies;
--enriching the program by suggesting and facilitating extra-curricular activities, such participation in the DC car show;

--recognizing Council participation through the "Mentor Banquet", which is held every year at the D.C. Car Show;
--coordnating job interviewing, job shadowing and internship placement.

The B&E council is a very active component of the program.  B&E Council members provide an ongoing and enthusiastic source of program review and feedback.  In exchange, they gain access to promising high school students who are seeking to enter the industry.  They also take satisfaction in knowing they are improving the educational opportunities in the community.
