Long Term Goals

One season of wrestling is not a "long" time. Long term goals are those which you dream about at night and sometimes, all day long. Some of them might happen this wrestling season and some will not be coming up for years. If you want to add something to your repertoire, practice it 50 times for 50 days in a row. If you want to master it, do it 100 times for 100 days in a row 100 days covers over half of a college or high school season. You can see that if need to master a skill to reach a long term goal, than simple addition often takes you beyond the present wrestling season. This quote also means that if your goals are not all met in this season, they very well might be exceeded in the next. It is only the wrestler who sticks to a long plan that wins in the end. Pave your road to glory each day by reviewing your work and planning for the next phase.
