Asset Map and Plan

Based on the concept of asset-based community development, I created an asset map for Rogers Park. I then created an action plan on how Rogers Park's assests can be used for economic development of the community, especially for the large refugee and immigrant populations that reside there. 

Reflection on Asset-Based Community Development

After creating an asset map and plan, I reflected on how the concept of asset-based development manifested at my internship site. Catholic Charities uses an interesting balance of asset and deficit based mindsets, but they should push themselves to use a more asset-based approach.
