ABOUT ME
Name: Raymond Nuneviller
Hometown: Middletown, Delaware
Major and why I chose the major: I am an elementary education major. I chose this major because I want to influence the future. Teachers are some of the most influential people in a child's life and I feel like being a positive influence on children is one of the greatest things a person can do. If I am able to help one child become a better person in or outside of the classroom, this will all be worth it to me.
My favorite teacher (K-12) and why: My favorite teacher was my high school marketing teacher Ms. Keebler. Only about five people in my school took marketing so this class was a very close knit group. Ms. Keebler was in charge of the morning announcements so she had our class do the announcements on the TV every morning in front of the whole school since we were her first period class. So I would always come to her classroom when I had down time and talk to her about how to make the announcements better and just talk about life. When I was a junior in high school, I was put into a class that I wanted nothing to do with. So Ms. Keebler pulled some strings and had me moved into a class she created on the fly for me so that I could run the school store during lunches instead of take a class I dreaded.
Someone who has inspired me and why: The person who inspired me most in my life is my Pop-Pop. He was always there for advice when I needed him, and was a role model for me. As I grew older I wanted to be more and more like him. He handled everything the right way and put his family first.
