Professional Development and Partner Schools consist of collaborations between teacher education programs and P-12 schools. They provide opportunities for the professional development of teachers and the training of teacher candidates. While the College of Education at Louisiana Tech University partners with many schools in the ten schools districts surrounding the university, it has established unique collaborative relationships with three local schools. Stakeholders from each partnership strive to develop and implement initiatives that are meaningful to their specific needs with the overall goal of achieving excellence in professional growth for pre-service teachers, teacher candidates, and professional educators, and to improve the programs of all the partners.
