38. Asia Team PowerPoint

There will be four roles for each team:

Coordinator - Keeps the group on task, types a 2-3 paragraph report that summarizes material presented in the PowerPoint. Also provides Mr. Olson with a team list and jobs on Day One!

Creative Designer - This person will build and design the PowerPoint. This person should be your PowerPoint expert and should also be someone who will definitley be here on Monday!

Presenter - This person will present the PowerPoint. They should be familiar with the material. Be sure and choose someone who speaks well since part of your grade will be in the area of presentation.

Researcher - This person is responsible for doing all the background research in either the textbook or via the internet. They will work side by side with the Creative Designer.

If you have a team with 3 or 5 people see me and we can adjust the roles slightly.

Your mission will be to assemble a 4-6 minute PowerPoint presentation that will teach the class about one of the following topics based on the number you draw. Take note that there is no specific required number of slides...you will likely need 4-5 slides to fit within the time frame. If you don't like the topic that you draw you may make a trade with another team. You will receive a group grade based on the following:

1) Typed report provided by Coordinator
2) Quality and accuracy of facts in presentation
3) Smoothness and delivery of presentation
4) Ability to fit within time frame of 4-5 minutes
5) Creative design of presentation/images etc.
6) Behavior and willingness to pay attention during presentations
7) Job list and group members given to Mr. Olson on Wednesday

** Earn bonus points. We will begin the presentations 15 minutes after class starts on Monday. I will offer bonus points to teams that are ready first on Monday! Have your typed report ready too please!

5 extra points - 1st team to check in - $1 Olson dollar each
3 extra points - 2nd team to check in
1 extra points - 3rd team to check in
