FRESHMAN SOCIAL STUDIES
GEOGRAPHY, ETHICS, TECHNOLOGY AND STATE REQUIREMENTS
This class covers a variety of topics over the course of the school year and each quarter there are theme related projects that incorporate geography and culture with the use of computer skills and technology. A brief explanation of each quarter follows with the computer skills that will be introduced. Take note that the last quarter focuses on life responsibility issues. Parent permission slips will be required for students in the final quarter since touchy subjects like sex education and drug and alcohol education will be discussed:

3rd Quarter:
Bullying, Tolerance and Respect

4th Quarter:

Alcohol Awareness
Driver's Education
INTRODUCTION TO BROADCASTING
Students in this course are exposed to the exciting world of broadcasting and journalism. Students will be expected to contribute to the campus TV station and student newspaper thus an outside time commitment is expected. The course description is attached below:
