Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers,

Family and Consumer Sciences courses are some of the most important classes you will ever take.  In these classes we cover every area of a person's life such as development, nutrition, textiles, self awareness, and career preparation.  I am extremely delighted to introduce each and every student in my classroom to the area of Family and Consumer Sciences. 

As advocates of Family and Consumer Sciences, each student in a FCS course is invited to become a member of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).  This organization offers the "ultimate leadership experience" locally, as well as on the state and national levels.  FCCLA offers not only leadership experience, but scholarship opportunities as well.  For more information about FCCLA, please ask me or visit www.texasfccla.org or www.fcclainc.org.
