Career Preperation

Career Preparation is available for qualified students to work in the community . This course is dependent on the student being gainfully employed and maintaining passing grades in all classes throughout the school year. Students participating in career preparation represent CCHS while they are working, and need to be responsible young adults. In addition, all career prep courses require that each student must:

1. </FONT></FONT>Be 16 years of age or older;

2. </FONT></FONT>Have a junior or senior classification and enough credits sufficient to graduate with their class. (Juniors-14 credits; Seniors-20 credits);

3. </FONT></FONT>Complete two semesters in sequence for credit;

4. </FONT></FONT>Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from school and work;

5. </FONT></FONT>Have and maintain good grades, good attendance, excellent conduct, and appropriate appearance.

Acceptance for participation shall be on the basis of the above requirements as well as training objectives, aptitude, interest, need, physical and mental competence, and other qualifications essential to successful employment. Applicants must obtain employment no later than the third week of school.  If not employed by then, the student shall be removed from the program.
