News and Announcements from Los Toros

This was a fabulous week, spent preparing for the Spring Extravaganza and celebrating our learning this year.  Our play, “Survivors in the Wild”, was a great success.  The Toros worked incredibly hard to perfect their script and stage presence.  We spent a lot of the week rehearsing and fine-tuning the production.

On Friday, we shared our survival know-how with the Pre-K Mountain Lions at Sweetcreek Ranch.  We taught them how to find the four cardinal directions and how to build a basic lean-to in the woods.

Thanks to all of you for coming out to the Spring Extravaganza to celebrate the year with us!  Graduation was bittersweet as we recognized the four 6th graders who will be leaving TVCS.

I am also sad to say goodbye to the 5th grade Toros who are moving on to other schools next year.  To celebrate a fun-filled year, we will be having a class party from 2-3 p.m. on Monday.

The end of the year will be here before you know it!  Next week we have a fun Monday planned.  Abby and Quincy will be our teachers for the day and we will build our mini-golf course.  Tuesday is field day and the last day of school!
