During my internship I have been working at Glen Alpine Elementary School in Burke County. I have been interning in Ms. Suttlemyre's kindergarten class where she has 16 students. I have been learning a lot and have enjoyed being in her classroom learning from her, and her assistant Ms. Leonhart, as well as her students. We spent a total of eight days in her classroom. We were there from 8:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. During the mornings we helped pour the drinks for snack time and put the cups at the students chairs. We were able to teach two reading and math lesson to her students in the time we were there. We also were able to assist in her class during center time. We would help the students who had their hands raised and assist the students. Sometimes we would read to them or listen to the students read. During one of my last few visits to the school, Mrs. Suttlemyre allowed me to put up the "Dear Santa" bulletin board. I really enjoyed working at Glen Alpine Elementary and getting to work in the kindergarten class this semester.
