Orientations are provided at least once per year in UED All-School meetings or faculty meetings to provide clarity and updates about PELSB unit and program standards and rules. During these orientations, the UED Dean and the Coordinator of Assessment provide an update to any changes to unit and program rules and the expectations of faculty to ensure all standards and rules are met, including program-specific licensure standards aligned with the courses they teach to ensure program integrity and consistency. Additionally, this information from each orientation is accessible in a special D2L Brightspace site established by the UED and Center for Online Learning for the purpose of documenting in this learning management system completion of such orientations. Any faculty who do not complete an orientation are sent automatic reminders until they complete the orientation, and the Coordinator of Assessment monitors the site to ensure PELSB orientation completion by all faculty.
