(3) Multiple Assessments from Standard 19

Standard 3 (3): The unit must implement an assessment system with a process for annually collecting and reviewing data from multiple assessments as required by Standard 19;

The UED collects and analyzes data in TaskStream from multiple “signature assessments” in required courses for candidates throughout each licensure program. These signature assessments are aligned with content and pedagogy standards (parts 8710.2000 to 8710.8080) for each license. Key assessment rubrics with licensure standards embedded and aligned in Taskstream are used by faculty and generate data about candidate performance in each program (see example rubric Figure 3.4)

Course-based signature assessment candidate performance data is analyzed on an annual basis first by the UED Assessment Committee (i.e. Assessment Coordinator, Field Experience Director, Director of Recruitment, Retention and Induction, Dept. Chair and Dean), and then by the faculty through licensure program coordinators. Finally, it is shared and reviewed with school partners and stakeholders as part of the package of candidate performance data for analysis, accountability purposes, and input on ways for programs and the UED to improve.
