Standard 27. The unit must:
(5) maintain an assessment system that enables storing, tracking, and reporting to meet state and federal annual data submission requirements.
Over the past decade, the UED has established an assessment and evaluation system that aids in data collection and analysis which inform decisions for ongoing program and unit evaluation and continuous improvement. Specific UED personnel (i.e., Assessment Coordinator; Field Director & Licensure Officer; Dean) maintain and refine our assessment system using several electronic tools and databases that enable storing, tracking and reporting needed for sharing with internal and external stakeholders, for required PELSB reporting (e.g. PERCA, Data Summary Reports) for mandated federal Title II reporting, and for state legislative as well as grant reports. These tools and databases include:
- TaskStream (online tool used to collect, track and report unit and program level data related to monitoring standards attainment aligned to courses and clinical field experiences) maintained by the UED Assessment Coordinator and Director of Field Experiences
- SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics (online tools for surveys of program completers, alumni and their supervisors as professionals) maintained by the UED Assessment Coordinator
- Results Analyzer from Pearson (online tool to access and report MTLE and edTPA data maintained by Pearson)
- PowerBI (online university data records for enrollments by program and demographics maintained by the University Registrar, Office of Institutional Research, and Information Technology Department)
- Excel and Word (to analyze and report downloadable data from the above sources) stored in the UED’s shared drive folder on the University’s server and maintained by the UED Assessment Coordinator and Dean.
