Standard 14: For a candidate working as a teacher of record while completing a teacher preparation program to obtain an initial professional license, the unit must ensure:

(2) a cooperating teacher holding a professional license in the licensure area sought is available to work with the candidate throughout the course of the student teaching experience;

The UED Field Experience Director ensures with the school principal that a cooperating teacher holding a Tier 3 or 4 license and at least three years experience in the licensure area is available to work with their teaching colleague/our teacher candidate for at least the weeks of the official student teaching placement.
