(3) True Information Submitted to the Board

Standard 27. The unit must:
(3) ensure information submitted to the board as part of the unit approval process and program approval process is not misleading, false, or fraudulent;

The UED Coordinator of Assessment, Reporting and Accreditation works closely with the office of Institutional Research to provide data for reporting. The UED dean ensures information submitted to the Board for unit and program approval is accurate and true when validating and submitting this self-study report for continuing unit approval and when submitting PERCA program approval reports in EPPAS (see Figure 27.3). The dean carefully reviews all documents for final submission after multiple individuals are involved in the development and review of reports before they are submitted, including faculty program coordinators, the department chair, relevant staff and the dean. Furthermore, when there are needs for aggregated unit or program data related to enrollments and degrees earned, the Metro State department of Institutional Research provides data to UED rather than the Assessment Coordinator only always doing his own queries of data. Collectively, this is a multi-tiered system of checks and balances.
