As an educator, being prepared will always make everything run smoother and faster. Having different websites to help prepare myself with different activities and lesson plans will allow me to have a better hand on things.

Science

  • K-12 Science Ed. Resources contains a variety of different science lesson plans such as science organizations, science links and science answers.

Math

  • Teach R Kids contains a variety of helpful ways to teach numbers, decimals, rounding and money to students in an enjoyable way that they can understand.

Classroom climate, classroom management, or discipline

  • Teacher Vision has information containing information about classroom organization, behavior management, assessments and the art of teaching.
  • About.com contains a variety of ways of having discipline or good classroom management by discussing different rules, challenging students and giving rewards.

Teacher Resources

  • The Arizona Department of Education has information about AIMS, scholarships as well as teacher certifications and standards and assessments.
  • Teachers Net has information on all different grade level content, lessons, projects and positions

Diversity or multicultural education

  • Teaching Tolerance gives many examples of ways to prevent diversity such as how to respond to hate, mixing it up, making every victim count and how to learn how to tolerate diversity.
  • Education World has information containing resources and articles that will allow educators to understand more about diversity.

Parental Involvement

  • Helping Children Succeed in School has information consisting of how parental involvement in school will help their children succeed by putting their child’s education as a first priority.
  • NCPIE, National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education helps us understand that when families work together, the outcome of working together and support one another is successful.

Lesson plans or Lesson ideas

  • A to Z Teacher Stuff has different activities and lesson plans from grades k-12 for all subjects and has great ideas, tips and themes.
  • ProTeacher Directory has multiple sources that allow educators to have different lesson plans, themes, and seasonal ideas.

Miscellaneous

  • Staff Development for Educators helps teachers become more aware of different workshops, conferences and even National and Regional events.
  • GOLIATH gives helpful hints for teachers that want their students to excel and succeed in everything that is done in the classroom.
