Welcome to the Audio Story section of my portfolio.
I worked independently in creating the attached audio story, which is designed to be used by students who are beginning to read at a first-grade level. I have made an audio recording of the children’s book, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, by Theodor Seuss Geisel. Students of the identified grade level will have an interest in the book based on their cognitive level with regards to their sense of humor.
This media project is valuable for students’ developing concepts including counting, numbers, words, rhyme recognition, nonsense verses, and comprehension of humor. The audio story will support students who are following along with the narration, which will help to develop one-to-one word correspondence.
Students will benefit from the audio story through listening to the narrative independently, or following along in a small group. Students will be able to demonstrate their literacy skills in listening and reading through using the audio story.
Student with visual and audio learning styles will be most attracted to this media project. The instructional strategies implemented through this audio story allow students to engage their minds in imaginative subjects while comprehending the story by reading each word that is spoken. The students will be able to use the audio story to aide in repeated readings, which will enable them to emerge as more fluent readers.
Please take some time to listen to my attached Audio Story.
