Digital Story

Welcome to the Digital Story section of my portfolio.

I worked independently in creating the attached digital story, which is designed to be used by students at a third-grade level. The digital story is valuable for students to easily learn about caring for a pet dog. This media project will support comprehension development as students views the digital images and make connections based on what they are listening to. Since students will have an interest in the subject, or be able to draw from their own experiences, they will learn more effectively because of the connections the students will be able to make.

In viewing and listening to this digital story, students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge about caring for a pet dog by an oral reflection in response to the media project. Students will be viewing the digital story independently or in a group about important aspects involved with owning a pet dog.

Students with visual and audio learning styles will be most attracted to this media project. The instructional strategies implemented through this digital story allow students to draw from their own experiences and use the knowledge they gain to become a better pet owner. While the digital story is not self-paced, students are able to view the media project as many times and needed to understand.
